Our Mission

Since 2018, Proyecto de Liberacion has been dedicated to providing secure legal bonds for immigrants facing removal proceedings. Our mission is to offer a dignified and professional solution that protects the rights of those in detention, ensuring they can maintain their freedom while awaiting court decisions. We believe in a future where every individual has the opportunity to rebuild their lives with the security of a professional bond.

Legal Bond Terms

Comprehensive guidance on bond costs and payment obligations for detained immigrants and their advocates.

What is the cost of a bond?

Bond costs are typically 10-15% of the bond's face value. For a $10,000 bond, this translates to a $1,000 to $1,500 security deposit.

When is the bond paid?

The bond is payable upon a court's order of deportation or removal proceedings. It serves as a financial guarantee to the government.

Who is responsible for payment?

Individual immigrants or their employers are responsible for the payment of the bond. Advocacy groups may also purchase bonds for clients.

What happens if the bond is forfeited?

If the bond is forfeited due to non-compliance with court orders, the bondholder is typically required to repay the full bond amount to the government.

Can I get a refund if I am released?

Yes, if the individual is released from detention or the court orders a stay of removal, the bond is typically returned to the bondholder.
